Day 1: Phnom Penh

Wow! We are finally here in Cambodia after a 20 hours of travel! We arrived in Cambodia around 11am and were greeted like royalty. We were escorted into a beautiful room at the airport where we met with the Secretary of State. After a short conversation, we jumped in a van and were off to our hotel. After a CRAZY ride (there are no rules when driving around here), we wound up at our beautiful hotel. We were able to rest for about an hour before we were off to see The Royal Palace. What an awesome site! Lots of gardens and historical artifacts. We even had Buddhist monks taking pictures of us! Lets just say we definitely stick out like sore thumbs! Next we headed to dinner at a restaurant on the Mekong River where we were joined by the Deputy Prime Minister! Things just keep getting better! Enjoy the pics of the Palace!
