Day 2: Phnom Penh

Today has been an interesting day to say the least. We were greeted by our guide Pet, our driver and the Secretary of State at 10am this morning. They took us to the National Museum of Cambodia where we saw lots of historical statues and artifacts. Lots of Buddhas! After that we went to the Genocide Museum, Tuol Sleng. This was such an eye opening experience. We saw things that I never thought I would ever see. It was very gruesome and evil. I cant believe this type of horror only happened 3o years ago. All of our guides had family members, even children that died during this time. We decided we needed to go debrief and eat lunch so we headed to an amazing authentic restaurant. We had some surprisingly great food! We even drank coconut milk straight from the coconut... yummy! Next we headed back to the hotel to relax for a bit. We all decided to get Thai massages, quite an experience! Lets just say that it wasn't very relaxing, haha! Lots of cracking, stretching and poking:) That's all for now! Stay tunned!
